Happy Weekend

How fun would it be to go to the Oscars? These photos make me think glam.

In our small town, there are only three movie theaters that play shows at 4:30, 7:00/7:30 and 9:00/9:30. Till a couple years ago I didn't realize that you could go see a movie at almost any time in a large city... Anyway, the owner of the theaters hold a little Oscar competition each year with ballots found in the local newspaper. Whomever scores the most points with correct answers wins. The prize? A free pass into any of the three theaters for an entire year! Get second and its 6 months of free movies! So, my ballots filled out and my fingers are crossed that I am victorious!

On a totally unrelated note, thanks to Megan of Pink to Green, I got these things in San Diego & have totally fallen in love. It's Goody's gift to the hairpin world. I worked out today wearing them and my hair stayed rock solid tight. Not to go on and on, but you can even do a really lose bun and it stays put... amazing.

Have a wonderful weekend!

San Diego recap

... I am back from san diego, into the cold and snow and thick of winter. flying in last night was a bit sketchy.  True story: 20 minutes prior to landing the pilot said, "they are testing the runway to see how slick it is, aka driving a pick up truck down the runway at high speed, hitting the breaks and seeing how far the truck slides." ahh the advance technologies used at the JH Airport are really comforting...

Anyway, vacations are fantastic, but coming back to reality - takes a bit of time to get into the swing of things!

Highlights of the San Diego trip:
lots and lots of amazing food. if you are in La Jolla - Piatti is the best restaurant around - a must. we have been going there for so many years, it feels like home! if you do, sit on the deck under the big tree, the best!
amazing bike rides. both challenging rides and extremely relaxing rides...
read this book. amazing, I highly recommend.

and, most important of all - spent tons of time with friends and family - it was wonderful.

on a sad note. I lost my camera. my belief is that it is being held captive by the pizza nazi - I won't name names but I am pretty sure he has it. argh. anyone have a recommendation for their favorite camera?!

Just another day

in jackson hole paradise... out on the elk refuge, surrounded by naature! a nice Sunday excursion outside on a beautiful day!

I am headed to San Diego today (yay!) and hope to see these two lovely ladies. also see this wonderful girl. and of course, my sister liz & her boyfriend Shane, my cousin Hannah and her husband Toby are all going to be there too which will be a blast!

Hope to post some things while I am gone - but no promises - I will be soaking up as much sun as possible! So, if you don't hear from me till next Tuesday, have a wonderful weekend!

Show recap

The show on Saturday went really really well, thank you for all the support! We had a great turn out, had some delicious cupcakes, listened to amazing music, looked at our beautiful flowers thanks to Lily and Co., and I sold some jewelry!

here are some event & photobooth shots - thanks to the amazing Katie and Mike of Shot 22 photography... I haven't put every single photo up here, so if you were at the show - took a photo - then head over here to see yours! if you are need of a photographer these two are wonderful!
Great times! Thank you to everyone that came out, I think we might have to do this again sometime soon! I have a bunch of things left, so keep your eyes on my Etsy shop for the new goodies!

did someone say...

Yay! Our trunk show/party is on Saturday in Jackson Hole! I have been working really hard to get ready for it as well as a laundry list of other things going on, so Sunday will be a sleep catch up day!

I wanted to give you a sneak peak at what I have been working on and some of the exciting things happening at the party...
A little jewelry of course... actually I have a lot of goodies!
just a few of the props for our photobooth! I felt like I was in third grade today making the mustaches & other props - it was quite fun!

So, if you are in Jackson - please come by - live music, a photobooth, jewelry, cupcakes and stationary - what more could you ask for?!

In case I don't get back before the weekend - enjoy!

matchstick love

In the spirit of Valentines day, these pieces of art were created by Chicago based artist Pei-San Ng - amazing use of an everyday object turned extraordinary. I applaud him for creating something so beautiful out of matches!

I love illustrations

Finally, things are slowing down a bit, but next week two girls and I will be hosting a valentines show - so a day of rest and then go go go! More details to come!

I think this illustration is so cute. Something so simple, so lovely about it.

I have been on a whirlwind of activity, that is not slowing down. So I am here to say a quick hello & a promise to be back in full swing by the end of the week. In the meantime, take a look at this bathroom that I just can't.get.enough of!
